Honky Tonk Petanque

The ninth annual Honky Tonk Petanque tournament honoring Marius Ciais will play on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 and 20, at the Northern Inn in Republic. Teams of three can play, and all equipment will be furnished unless players prefer to use their own petanque sets. Adults can play with kids and no special skills are needed other than the ability to roll steel balls toward the target ball.
The two-day event offers a total of $1,000 in cash and prizes. Registration starts at 9 a.m. Saturday and costs $15/person. Preregistration at the Northern Inn before Friday is encouraged.
